Description
What sets the Sabrina apart from other work boots is the hand burnishing and the leather. Oiled suede in this case. Of course, the flawless shape, rugged lug sole and stacked heel don’t hurt either. But the burnishing and well-oiled leather make all the difference. The result is a work boot built to withstand anything. Made in USA and sourced from domestic and imported products. The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

I ordered these boots to wear to my wedding next week. I’ve spent a while trying to find a pair of boots that would be bridal, comfortable, and easy to hike in, so I was really, really excited to finally find these. I already own them in another color so I was confident they would be perfect for my day. They arrived pretty quickly and are absolutely gorgeous, but they are totally unwearable because they are two completely different sizes. One boot is a 7.5 and the other is an 8.5. So not only did I waste hundreds of dollars and a lot of time, but now I don’t have shoes to wear to my wedding. Regardless of the price of boots or occasion you’re buying them for, it’s a pretty reasonable expectation to get a matched pair. Instead, I have half of what I ordered and half of some other pair of boots. *UPDATE* the seller did overnight me the missing 7.5 boot, so now I have more than a complete pair. They were cool about it and immediately fixed the issue, which hey, that’s the best you can really ever hope for and I have shoes for my wedding which is also pretty cool.If you’re thinking about buying these boots, definitely try to just find them in person so you can make sure you’re actually getting a pair that match instead whichever two vaguely similar shoes the seller can find to throw together. But if you can’t find them in person, and if you do get two vaguely similar shoes, they will fix the issue, so you’ll have an identical pair, a third wheel shoe, and a funny story. As far as fit goes, they’re narrow and if you have a high instep or a wide foot you may find them a little uncomfortable if you don’t size up a bit. They can be especially tight around the top and sides of the mid foot area because of how they’re stitched together (there are seams by the tongue/bottom of the laces) so that’s an area where you’ve ever had shoe tightness before, sizing up would be a good idea. You have to loosen the laces pretty much all the way to put them on, but they’re comfortable and sturdy once you’re actually in them. The tread is good so you’re probably not going to slip and fall walking around on most reasonable conditions. They also make you look like you have tiny little doll feet which is weird but feels worth mentioning.
