Purchased to test normal and leisure batteries fitted to a Land Rover which had been sitting for some time. The batteries had become discharged (despite the occasional booster charge) and had not responded that well to reconditioning with an Oxford Optimiser, although some life had been restored to the leisure battery. The Gunson confirmed that the standard battery was just about dead; since it was just within warranty I was able to exchange it for a new one. I never regret buying good tools even if I only plan to use them once, they always pay for themselves in the end. The G4184 is quite specialist but a good bit of kit to have in the tool box.
