These are my solution to going through multiple pairs of socks a day while working from home; we have dogs who track in snow and drip water on the floors, and I am human and particularly in traditional slippers, my feet sweat, either cold sweat or from overheating.These slippers are soft and comfortable; a compromise between a shoe and just wearing socks. They remind me most of my Steger Mukluks for cold weather, or perhaps something like a barefoot running shoe. Allows my feet to move and flex naturally, but provides additional padding and excellent warmth. I debated on purchasing a less expensive slipper, but these are meeting my every desire, particularly in the “warmth without sweat” category. These slippers entirely solve the floor seeping the heat out of my feet, and keeps me able to comfortably be still to do my desk job without getting cold and uncomfortable.I tend to trust in my European size (41) and went with that, as most of my roomier for winter warmth footwear is a 41.5 size. I wear these slippers barefoot primarily and the fit is wonderful, but I can wear thinner wool socks with them if I do desire. I’ve had them about two weeks at this point, and the suede leather sole is just starting to show some tiny areas of smoothing after being worn at least a couple hours a day inside with the briefest journeys out on the porch. I’m thrilled with this purchase and will be back for more, should my current pair need replacing; I’ll update this review should they disappoint, but for now I am in love!My wife loved these so much I wanted a pair for myself. Unfortunately, my feet are too big. I highly recommend these classy shoes.The slippers have several great features. The material has the texture of felt. It feels smooth against your skin but is thick enough for the slipper to hold its shape. The inside soles are lined in the same material. I found them easy to get on and off but at the same time they didn't slip off my feet. The denim color is a lovely gray-blue The problem was that I ordered my normal size but the slippers were too small. I always wear a size 9 (women's) or a 40 European. I ordered the size identified as 9-9.5 on the Amazon page. When the slippers arrived the box was marked 40 so they should have been fine. But they were too short so I had to return them. (Larger size not available in any color.)Absolutely perfect, just what I was looking for. My first pair was just a bit too big so returned for a smaller size. I usually wear Ugg boot for my house shoes but these are so comfortable, my new favorite. Love the boiled wool, soft grey color, and style. Very Happy.I really like the boot style. They are the most comfortable slippers I have ever owned. I put my orthotics inside them to have the arch support I need. They slide in easily, they seem like they will last a long time. The only thing I am questioning is whether or not I should have purchased ones with the rubber soles vs. the leather so I that could step outside with them briefly when I wanted. They are great and I would definitely purchase them again. They seem like they will last a long time though so maybe they will outlive me!This "slipper" fits like a glove - it's easy to put on and take off. No, there's no arch support, but it is a slipper, not a shoe. And although I don't usually wear socks with slippers, (as I generally wash slippers at least occasionally), I always wear socks with these because I don't think you could really ever wash them, being as how they are very thick felt. Anyway, I make this point because when I do wear socks, mostly the socks eventually wind up down at the bottom of my feet! And that is quite uncomfortable. Maybe I have to overcome my reluctance to put my bare feet in these or else live with droopy socks!All the other positive reviews that are out there are exactly right. I tend to have cold feet and these are the warmest most comfortable slippers I have found. They do cost a lot but totally worth it and not really all that bad when compared to pricing on other high quality slippers. The fit is pretty true maybe running to a little long and slightly wide but I wear a 13 1/2 and the 47s fit just right without socks so stick to your normal size. I debated the boots or shoes. I wanted the extra warmth so gave the boots a try. I had been leery after reading reviews about rubbing on the lower leg. For me this isn't much of an issue after a few wearings as the edges soften up especially if you work them a little bit by hand on any really stiff spots. I can still feel them but they are far from irritating so don't even notice. These are really warm but don't hold moisture like my leather covered ones so these stay warm and not clammy. The leather bottom is adequate and I don't see how they will be an issue as long as I don't wear them on concrete or something. I wish I had tried them long ago as I could have saved myself a lot of time and money trying a bunch of different slippers that never really were warm enough.These boots keep my feet lovely and warm but I ordered my usual size with which I can normally wear a thickish sock but my big toe is a tight fit. They may stretch a little with use but I would order a size larger next time.I order them as the image is rubber sole but is the leather version that’s why is cheaper than the other rubber versions.It does say on the description leather sole but the pictures were rubber so I went for it.These are fantastic so I returned them and order the rubber sole ones which I think are perfectMy feet have been warm ever since I started wearing these boots so I persuaded my mother to try them as her feet were always cold and she can't walk very much. Her feet are now much warmer and she is very happy.A bit pricey but smart looking and very comfortable.Love them!
